(Swaledale to Teesdale)
Continuing my Dale Hop Walk (as I think I will call it) we walked up Arkengarthdale on the N bank of Arken Beck I went past Booze to Langthwaite.

Then it was N over Booze Moor to meet The Stang road near its summit.

As I slogged up the last few miles I was overtaken by two cyclepackers. They were having a rest at the top and I caught them up. It turns out that they are cycling LEJOG and hope to complete it in 9 days.
Down the other side through The Stang forest on to Rutherford.
We stopped to admire a drystone wall. Who said country crafts are dying out?

Then over fields (no visible paths - GPS essential) to Startforth, crossing the A66 en route. Then we left the B6277 and walked through Deepdale Wood to the campsite.
The weather was initially hot but became noticeably cooler as we met a North wind on top of The Stang, welcoming us to the North East.
