Zoe left to drive home and I had one last look around Upton. "The Pepperpot" is a cupola-topped tower that is that remains of the demolished medieval church.
The day started off on good tracks and I made excellent progress until I lost the path completely. 8 hours later I arrived in Holt Fleet to be told that the shower was out of commision. The only pub (or rather posh but virtually empty hotel) would not allow dogs in. This is the first pub, in over 20 occasions, that has not allowed dogs in.
