Last night's campsite (Bankhouse Farm) is recommended. Good facilities, friendly owners, opposite a pub and only £6
Very cold in the night. My sleeping bag is very lightweight duck down and meant for 2/3 seasons. I had to wear clothes last night and I was still cold. Gyp seemed fine wrapped up in her dog blanket. Gyp's water bowl (okay a Chinese takeaway container) had several mm of ice on. This photo was taken at 8.30am.

I walked along quiet country lanes to Longnor where I got talking to some elderly walkers. They told me they had done the Cleveland Way and when I told them I lived in Saltburn and my nightly dog walk is over Huntcliff they said they loved the area and thought I was very lucky. And here's me looking at cottages in villages and towns every day and thinking how good it would be to live there!
Lots of road walking today so Gyp wore her socks.

I had to pass through a Health and Safety Laboratory area when the red flag was flying.

Having passed through safely, despite a siren and a loud bang, I was just leaving the site when I was approached by a security guard. I was told politely but firmly that I had strayed off the path and was in a "restricted area". He escorted me off the premises. Thank goodness I didn't take a photo of the "Bomb Disposal" vehicle that I had just passed!
Pub at night was strange. Good beer (Pedigree, Greene King IPA and London Pride at £2.65 a pint. Yet I was the only one in, even the bartender was playing pool in the next room. Only food was pie and mushy peas.
