Day 22 Thurs 6th May

15 miles from Haw Bridge to Upton on Severn
Another day walking through long wet grass. I met Zoe in Tewkesbury for my daily baguette and cup of tea. I really liked the town, especially the many timber-framed and brick buildings from the 16th Century.

More wet grass on way to Upton, only to be met by Zoe with the news that every hotel and B&B in Upton was fully booked. The Three Counties Show was on.
Forced to camp for a second night Zoe was not over-impressed by the sole toilet block.

  1. I would just like to thank Melanie's tea room in Tewkesbury. What a wonderful proper tea room, well worth a visit if in the area. Pete was not with me (as he was walking!!!) but they insisted I take a flapjack for him. So thank you. (and to Monach launderette in Mitton where I abandoned the washing when Pete text me he was just about to get to Tewkesbury)
