In April 2010 I intend to set off from Lands End and walk to John O'Groats with my border collie Gyp. We intend to follow the South West coast to Bristol and then keep the water on our left as we go up the Severn to Stourport. Across to the Pennine Way before hitting Edinburgh and Aviemore. From there on to Inverness and then we will keep the water on our right all the way to John O'Groats. We will have no support and intend to camp every night.
Hope pete found the campsite as friendly as i did and the bay owl pub/restaurant is dog freindly, in a couple of miles eyes right for the (topiary) heart shapped ivy on house.
ReplyDeleteAll the best.

Well it has taken me a while to sign up as a follower since I am actually always the leader!
ReplyDeleteFor over a thousand miles I had to lead the way.
Countless times I have had to watch AlphaMale put the tent up. No wonder I fell asleep.
I just hope Zoe has the heater on in the car on the way home.
Grr
Dear Gyp
ReplyDeleteWeather is expected to get warmer again so think it may be the air-con. you'll want on in the car(not the heater!) but you just tell me when you jump in and I will go with what ever you want. x
PS don't worry about the tent (wether it be tent or awning best leave him to get on with it alone he's used to it!!!}
best of luck on your last miles!
ReplyDeletethey go to quickly!
There's a TV crew outside your house wanting to film Gyp on the walk. (Apparently, there might be a walk-on part for you, Pete.)
ReplyDeleteI explained that you had pretty well finished but they were quite happy for you to just go over it again for the film crew.
What a triumph (and we don't mean the bike!)
